No Christmas Eve is complete without that last-minute dash to buy bits and pieces, stocking fillers and tasty treats to make the holidays that little bit more special.
Prescot Shopping Centre will be open until 4pm this Thursday, 24 December, and Santa will be in his grotto to welcome children between 10am and 3pm. Entry is only £4, and includes a gift.
Father Christmas is also out on Eccleston Street, courtesy of Rotary Club of Prescot. Look out for his sleigh and make a donation – all donations go to great local charitable causes. He’ll be there from 9am to 1pm.
Then, between 2pm and 3pm, singers from Prescot & Whiston Methodist Church will be spreading festive cheer with Christmas carols in the town centre.
Traditional Church Services in Prescot This Christmas
All are welcome to the Family Crib Service at Prescot Parish Church at 3pm on Christmas Eve. Ideal for children, this short occasion includes the story of the Nativity and one or two Christmas carols.
If you’d like to usher in Christmas Day with music and religious reflection, late Christmas Eve Mass takes place at Prescot Parish Church at 11.30pm and the neighbouring Catholic Church of Our Lady Immaculate & St Joseph’s at 12 midnight. All are most welcome.
