Mayor of Prescot raises over £575 at Tesco Bag Pack event

The Mayor of Prescot held a bag pack at Tesco Prescot on Saturday 1st February 2020 to raise money for the Mayor of Prescot’s Charity. All funds raised at the end of the Mayoral year are distributed to the Mayor’s nominated charities and local community organisations.

The Mayor of Prescot, Cllr Pat Cook would like to extend her thanks to those who supported the bag pack:-

Tracey Murray, Thomas Smith, Jean Fletcher, Lyndsay, Geoff Conway, Tom Large, Ste Pickering, Ste Henry, Phil Cook, Peter, Michael, James and Ethan Cook, Jo Burke and Neil Murray.

Thanks also go to Tesco Prescot Manager Karen Ellis and Community Champion Carol Reid-Evans.

Over £575 was collected on the day and the Mayor would like to thank all of the Tesco Prescot customers who donated. Cllr Cook says “this was an amazing amount and I am so grateful to you all. Once again, a very sincere thank you.”

FREE Winter Warmth Events in Prescot

If you are over 65, you can attend the FREE Winter Warmth events funded by Public Health.

At the events, you will be able to socialise with others around your age, enjoy warm and healthy food, learn about how to save on energy and keep warm during the cold winter months, and see what is going on in your local area.

Mayor of Prescot Charity Fundraising Bag Pack – Sat 1st February

The Mayor of Prescot along with volunteers will be raising money for the Mayor of Prescot’s Charity by holding a bag pack event in Tesco, Prescot on Saturday 1st February 2020 between 10am – 6pm. Please give generously. All proceeds will go towards specially chosen local volunteer community groups at the end of the Mayoral year.
